NEW PATIENTS
Your first visit, clearly outlined.
Plan for approximately 90 minutes. The appointment includes discussing your concerns, assessment, treatment, and a check-in before you leave.
What to expect
Explore the concerns I work with →Your concerns
We discuss your symptoms, relevant health history, and any previous treatment—including what has helped and what hasn't. We also talk about the activities you want to return to or feel more comfortable doing.
Assessment
I assess how you move and examine the areas related to your symptoms. Depending on your concerns, this may include checking range of motion, muscle strength, and tenderness.
Treatment
Your treatment is guided by the assessment and adjusted to your comfort. Acupuncture may be combined with other methods, with time to rest while the needles are in place.
Before you leave
We check in on how you feel and revisit relevant movements when useful. We discuss next steps and any recommendations for between visits.
Reassessment
Each visit starts with what is present now.
The prior treatment is not automatically repeated. Changes since your last appointment—and what Tatyana observes that day—inform the next treatment.
What to wear
Comfortable, flexible clothing.
Wear clothing that allows you to move and makes the area being assessed reasonably accessible. Bring or wear shorts if the concern involves the hip, thigh, or knee.
Before you arrive
Before your visit
Please complete your intake and consent forms securely through Jane App before your appointment, and eat and hydrate normally beforehand.
Sessions are $165. I do not accept insurance, but I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
