One treatment model, adapted each visit.

Every visit begins with reassessment so the treatment can change as you do. I determine the combination of methods in response to your presentation, goals, and response that day.

What to expect

One appointment, with treatment tailored to you.

You don’t need to choose a technique before booking. We’ll discuss what brings you in, assess your movement, and decide which of the methods below to include in your treatment.

Primary focus

Orthopedic and Sports Acupuncture

The clinical foundation of the practice. Orthopedic and sports acupuncture combines traditional Chinese medicine with an approach grounded in anatomy and movement. Palpation, range-of-motion and muscle testing, and postural observation help identify the tissues and movement patterns contributing to pain or restricted movement. Treatment addresses the area of concern along with related imbalances and compensation patterns, and is tailored to the demands of your daily life or sport.

Supports pain relief, mobility, recovery, and performance.

Scalp Acupuncture

Scalp acupuncture combines traditional needling techniques with a modern understanding of neuroanatomy. Needles are placed along specific areas of the scalp associated with motor and sensory function. It may be incorporated when pain, mobility, balance, or nervous-system function are part of the treatment picture.

Supports pain modulation, movement, balance, and neurological function.

Moving Fire Cupping

Moving fire cupping uses a flame to create warmth and suction inside a glass cup. The cup is then glided across the skin, combining gentle heat with a lifting and mobilizing effect through the superficial tissues. It may be incorporated to address broader areas of muscular tension and stiffness.

Supports flexibility, local circulation, and relief from muscle tension.

Electroacupuncture

Electroacupuncture adds a small, adjustable current to selected acupuncture needles, creating steady, rhythmic stimulation. The intensity is tailored to your comfort and may be used when a muscle or treatment area would benefit from more sustained stimulation.

Supports targeted muscle stimulation and pain modulation.

Reiki & Restorative Support

Some visits call for a more calming, restorative approach. Reiki, craniosacral techniques, hands-on work, crystals, essential oils, and CBD or arnica topicals can be incorporated to help you relax into treatment and feel more supported. A grounding mat is used throughout your session, and a TDP mineral heat lamp may be added when warmth would be helpful.

Supports relaxation, comfort, and a greater sense of ease.

What brings people in

People come in for neck, shoulder, back, hip, knee, or foot pain; sciatica; limited mobility; postural strain; overuse injuries; or concerns that remain after injury or surgery.

Sometimes the goal is to return to exercise, training, golf, tennis, or everyday activity with greater ease.

Assessment

Looking beyond the obvious.

Pain or an old injury can influence the way you stand, walk, exercise, and compensate—sometimes long after the original problem began. Assessment considers the original concern in relation to the way the rest of your body moves.

The experience

What treatment feels like

Your visit is collaborative and shaped around what your body needs that day. Treatment may feel calming and deeply restorative or more direct or intense, similar to deep-tissue work. I explain what I'm doing, adjust to your comfort, and remain present throughout most of the session.

Every element is selected to help your body settle, respond, and begin moving differently.
